Girl Band Website
Recently Didgeroo was approached by 84 Management to design and build a new website for upcoming British girl band - Fanfair. An existing website designed by another web agency was already in place, however 84 Management were not happy with it's look and feel. They also required to some additional functionality such as a new slideshow image gallery and Twitter integration. With the bands upcoming summer tour announcement imminent, 84 Management required the entire design and build to be completed in under two weeks. Didgeroo was able to easily meet this deadline and delivered a clean, fresh and modern website all built on Wordpress 3.0. Check out the finished product here - http://www.fanfairmusic.com

Digital Shoreditch
Last night Didgeroo attended the launch of The Source - a brand new business directory covering all the wonderful creative and technical small businesses in the Shoreditch area. Our neighbourhood here in Shoreditch is really starting to devlope a village-like sense of community amongst local buisnesses. This publication goes some way to solidify relationship by by listing all of us in one beautifully produced book. Didgeroo goes to Buckingham Palace!
On 10 October, Didgeroo was asked to attend a round-table discussion with HRH Prince Andrew, The Duke of York. (more photos here). The discussion was part of the TechCity UK initiative. Prince Andrew wanted to know what he could personally do to assist companies like Didgeroo. I made the suggestion that it would be helpful if tech starts-ups could somehow tap into the wealth of knowledge that The City Of London, just a 1/4 mile down the road, has to offer. His Royal Highness told us that he had many friends in The City so he would ask them and us over to his place for a get-together.
So on 20 October, Didgeroo went to Buckingham Palace! It was a wonderful evening, and an excellent opportunity to meet some very important people. It was also great to see some many friends and colleagues from the Silicon Roundabout area in attendance. Read more about the event here:
Lord Sassoon visits Didgeroo
On 9 September 2011, our office was visited by Lord Sassoon in his role as Commercial Secretary of UK Trade and Investment (UKTI). UKTI have been busy setting up the TecCity UK initiative which hopes to encourage the growth of tech companies in Silicon Roundabout. Lord Sasson was very interested in Didgeroo and the other tech startups we share our office with. There is obviously a growing number of companies like Didgeroo in the Old St / Shoreditch areas. The question is, what can the government do help and support us? Our New Office
Didgeroo has moved office - just around the corner. After a fantastic 18-months sharing office space with a bunch of tech start-ups on Hoxton St, it was time for Didgeroo to say goodbye. Our landlord, Songkick.com, required more space (well done guys!) so we had to move.
The Hoxton Mix
Shared Office Space
Once again we are sharing the space with a great bunch of tech start-ups. Sharing not only allows us to keep our costs down and our quotes competitive, but we also find it provides excellent networking opportunities. Some of the companies we are now sharing our new office space with are :-
